About

Greta Alf is an artist with an architectural background, working at the intersection of abstract painting, spatial thinking, and emotional symbolism.

Her work reflects a personal philosophy: Art. Love. Freedom.
Art as a form of inner liberation, a way to live more attentively, deeply, and honestly.

In her abstract works, Greta explores inner states and themes of self-awareness, allowing the unconscious to emerge through form, movement, and biomorphic fluidity. Her paintings are visualized intuition — a flow in which the viewer can feel silence, depth, motion, and inner impulse.
Minimalist forms, organic transitions, and expressive textures create a sense of tactile connection through the gaze. These works are visually impactful and evoke presence, calm, stillness, rhythm, and breath.

A distinct direction in Greta’s practice is her figurative series, particularly the ongoing work centered on hands. Here, she turns to the subject of human connection and subtle moments of contact. Hands serve as witnesses to invisible dialogues between people. These paintings capture fragile moments — the ones that often go unnoticed, yet carry more meaning than words.

Greta works with acrylic, oil, and textural materials, creating both expressive paintings and minimalistic or biomorphic textured abstractions for interior spaces — from quiet, monochrome surfaces to complex compositions with volume, shadow, and organic tactility.

She also creates indoor murals — large-scale wall paintings integrated into restaurants, private homes, and office spaces in Oslo.

Greta’s paintings are collected by private buyers and interior designers for residential and public spaces. Her approach merges artistic vision with spatial awareness, making each work an integral part of the environment.
